If your children throw Lego thgruoh the screen then your houshold policy will probably cover the repair. Most of them do provide accidental damage cover for domestic appliances valued up to a31000 per item.If the set fails just after the guarnatee expires then the Sale of Goods Act provides you with some protection. Expensive consumer goods like tv sets are expected to last for several years and retailers cannot (by law) escape their responsibilities under the Act. This means that a tv which fails outside of Guarantee must be repaired. The cost of the repair will be borne by the retailer if it's close to guarantee date and shared betwee dealer and customer after that. The legal extension will vary according to the type of television. It is expected that better ones will last longer than cheap ones. For example a court may support your case if a Sony or Panasonic failed after two years, but they'll laugh at you if you tried returning something like a Bush or Technika after the same time. Some shops do try and fob you off after one year but you can report them to your local Trading Standards Office for that. Some decent retailers, like John Lewis, offer a free 5 year warantee. They wouldn't do that if they thought that tv sets would fail in that time. That is why they don't sell cheapo brands of tv set.

I actually went to art school… for a year and a half. Then I dropped out. I realized that I simply wasn’t going to learn what I wanted to learn, mainly because in my city art schools don’t have great teachers or methods, but also because they tend to have this modern, snob, view of art. They don’t even value drawing all that much.So I recently decided to teach myself stuff. You have no idea how much my drawing skills have improved since I made that decision. I’ve been reading books, watching video tutorials, taking short courses here and there, and drawing, every single day, instead of having to work on pointless assignments and rushy projects. So I’m kinda happy this way. I do miss interacting with people, making friends and going out of my house for a change, but I’m learning a lot nonetheless, and I can have a job in the meantime without any kind of time restrictions. The only thing that bothers me a bit is knowing that I’ll probably never have a college degree in art. I’m determined to become a good illustrator though, and I hope that’ll be enough to achieve good things in the future.Thank you for this video, Matt. It has really cheered me up. =) http://www.californiainsurers.net/car-culture.html http://www.californiainsurers.net/hybrid-car.html

I love this message wholeheartedly. It’s very true about a lot of things in life. We don’t have to be limited to learning in a classroom, although unfortunately many times there are not necessarily resources available to us outside of that realm or, unlike the art world, it can be a lot harder to prove you have learned the information necessary outside of having a degree as evidence. (And some people with degrees didn’t learn anything or as much either!)I know many people have mentioned it and I’ve even stated it myself before but you really have done a wonderful job figuring out how to teach on your own. You explain things in a way that’s so easy to understand, use examples and visuals, are very articulate, etc. I have often wondered how you go about making a single video, if you write out exactly what you’re going to say if you’re just talented enough to talk about general points on the fly, if you have to do multiple recordings, etc. Whatever the process, the end product is always well put together and very much appreciated! http://www.californiainsurers.net/car-culture.html

Rich Menga / December 11, 2009It's built-in, but is a per-application feature. As far as I'm aware, any rich text duecmont editor has it.Notepad for example does not have paste special because it doesn't do anything but plain text so it's not needed. But WordPad does (although in Windows 7 it's accessible via the paste drop-down menu and not CTRL+SHIFT+V).Reply
